Arts

Elephant and Castle has been defined as a cultural hub by the London Development Authority and both the regeneration team and Southwark Council are doing all they can to nurture the arts in SE1. Over recent months, some notable arts organisations have moved to the area from Soho, and there are exciting plans in the pipeline for future festivals.

Elefest
Elefest, Elephant and Castle's annual multi-media and performing arts festival returns for a fourth successive year this autumn. Launched as a platform from which to celebrate and showcase the creative and cultural diversity of the area, Elefest is fast becoming a regular fixture on the cultural map of London. For Elefest listings see www.elefest.org.uk

Alongside performances and exhibitions there will be workshops/seminars and talks in and around Elephant and Castle. To get involved e-mail: neon@uk2.net
